We love seeing the community create their own content - new rules, scenarios, adventures, monsters, tables, and entire worlds. The Torch & Shield community is built on that creativity, and we want to encourage it as much as possible. At the same time, we don’t want creators to feel like they have to wait for our review, approval, or official production process before sharing their work. Our goal is to give you the freedom to create, package your ideas, and release them to the world on your own terms - and if you want to sell your work and earn something for the effort you’ve put in, we want to make that possible too.

This Third Party License allows anyone to make stuff for Torch & Shield and either publish it for free or sell it, without us taking a cut. Holds, scenarios, modules, anything goes. There are just a few basic rules which you must follow:

If you adhere to these terms you are allowed to publish free or commercial material based upon and/or declaring compatibility with Torch & Shield without express permission from Grimskald.

RULE 2

You may use the map for referencing locations of the world. See note below re: Widowbreath Mountains
You can also use the names of creatures, locations, organisations, factions and entities of the game world.

THE WIDOWBREATH MOUNTAINS
If you are wondering where to begin in the world of Torch & Shield, why not look to the wild, primordial north of Korus?
Beyond the ruins of the Maelgrim, Kazarin, and Gromdal kingdoms lies a vast range of peaks, unmatched in their danger. Many clans once sought to extend their reach into these northern badlands, but the records of their successes and failures have long since been lost to time.
In those mountains dwell creatures born of the abyss, things that know only darkness. Monsters left behind from the time of the Cataclysm… the terrible children of Yaguul.
This area stretches all the way to the Human realm of Helgard, a city state orbited by several towns.

This region is perfect for Torch & Shield Forged. Undefined, full of danger, mystery and opportunity. Even we don't know what is there.... yet! This is your chance to tell the story.

Click HERE to download a blank map section of the north. This also includes the Torch & Shield Forged Logo.

GRIMSKALD SUPPORT
If you create something under this license, please reach out to us. Projects that align with our world are likely to be promoted by us. However, Grimskald will promote independent productions at our own discretion.

Please do not promote political ideologies, sexist, racist, homophobic, transphobic, or nationalist themes that relate to the real world within your publications. We make games as escapism from the real world and its troubles.
